This particular example left the San Jose factory on the 30th October 1969 to its destination in Los Angeles. It had a standard finish, with a bodywork in "Wimble-don White" colour and black interior. It was fitted with a 302ci engine producing 230hp (the most powerful 302 version at that time) and was coupled with an un-usual manual gearbox with 4 long speed shifts. According to the Marty report, 349 convertibles were produced in this colour combination in 1969 and only 245 with this engine / gearbox combination.
A large file of invoices indicates that the car was already in France at the end of the 1980s and it was in 2016 that our collector acquired it, attracted by its unu-sual specifications. The description stated that 3 of the 4 floorboards were re-placed in 1995. The bodywork was repainted in 2001, while the interior seems to have remained original. It also has a Hurst gear lever, a Philco car radio, an onboard clock and an optional luggage rack. Combining the unique appearance of the Mustang, pleasures of the convertible and a powerful engine, this example (rare in this configuration) will give you a lot of joy, shared with family and friends.
