EXTERIOR
This sublime 993 has been subject to an incredible overhaul from the special projects department of leading air cooled independents – Heritage Autowerks. Stripped back to bare metal with a glass out respray in it’s original Polar Silver the car looks factory fresh with OEM+ upgrades inclusive of genuine RS spoilers and side skirts. A couple of subtle in-house modifications to this skunkworks project sees a revised front air dam / grille arrangement alongside a double bubble carbon roof – reducing both weight and lowering the centre of gravity.

While apart the underside and associated components have been vapor blasted and painted and as such it looks as good underneath as it does on top.

With headlight washers, side repeaters and rear wiper all deleted alongside a 991 Porsche badge on the rear deck, the car has an identity all of it’s own and presents in exceptional order throughout.

INTERIOR
The cabin of the 993 is one of Teutonic efficiency and ergonomics, with this interior space now host to some well conceived additions that offer a thoroughly individual look and feel.

A new Alcantara headlining is supported by a full straight black carpet and embossed mat set, with re-trimmed Nappa and Heritage fabric an elegant contrast to the red belts and door pulls. The electric hard backed sports seats are as new and feature a matching Polar silver shell, with the Rennsport theme also extending to a period correct wheel and cowl. In-Car entertainment hasn’t been overlooked with an upgraded OEM Bluetooth / DAB head unit inclusive of upgraded speaker set.

Porsche’s of this vintage were built solidly and this example is the perfect case in point with everything reset to as-new.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The immaculate engine bay homes a period correct pre-varioram Flat 6 that has covered a mere 29k miles, enhanced by a factory sound kit consisting of air box lid and larger oval exhaust tips. New tin and RS engine mounts have been installed alongside a major service, with valve cover gaskets replaced for preventative maintenance to ensure the engine is 100% dry. The speedometer reads the accurate figure for engine mileage covered.

The gearbox has been stripped and inspected with new seals and feels tight and assured thanks to a full RS gear selector, fork and rod.

All suspension and subframes have been removed, vapor blasted and renewed with RS bushes. The steering rack has been rebuilt, alongside an Elephant Racing track rod bump steer kit, while trick Koni active dampers are supplemented by Eibach springs; a favoured road biased set up amongst 993 enthusiasts.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
One style of wheel synonymous with RennSport 993 is the 5 spoke split rim and these Speedline-style wheels are as new wrapped in a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres.

Red Brembo calipers present in pristine condition clamped to drilled disc brakes all round. The braking system has been totally overhauled with all new hardware along with fresh handbrake shoes and cables.

HISTORY FILE
Originally sold in Northern Ireland, this 3 owner C2 has been very well looked after and proved to be a perfect donor for one of a handful of Heritage special project vehicles.
