A car we know extremely well as it was purchased new by family friends and it came in to our possession in 2000 shortly after the owner passed away. A complete repaint was carried out on this very solid vehicle through ourselves mainly due to usual, expected panel fading and light abrasions. The remainder of this excellent, low mileage car was detailed to show standard which is how it presents to this day. We sold the car to an extremely active member of the owners’ club, and it was a familiar sight at shows until 2015 when we re-acquired it and sold on to the next couple of owners who have garaged it and used it carefully. The mileage from new is 61, 000 and this Daimler is finished in Navy Blue with Grey Hide, which one of the most favoured colour combinations. The original service book is stamped right through , and there is a file of subsequent invoices. Fitted with the later type Borg Warner automatic and original power steering, this is one of the most useable of the classic ‘Mk 2’ derivatives.
