A handsome 2 1/ 2 litre V8 Daimler with very good bodywork having had extensive refurbishment carried out three years ago at our local restoration specialists.
The Daimler has a lovely paintwork finish and gleams in the sunshine. The extensive history file mentions that it is a Jaguar colour and it contrasts nicely with the red interior. The panel fit is excellent and there is no indication of any deterioration. The underside is clean and sound.
Inside, the interior is superb having having been fully retrimmed some years ago. The woodwork is beautiful. There is a JVC stereo very neatly hidden in the glovebox, which works very well.
The 2. 5 litre V8 engine burbles wonderfully and is lovely and smooth. It was received a complete rebuild in the nineties by Paul Vosper a Daimler specialist, and has only covered 11, 000 miles since. He also carried a large mechanical overhaul including work to the brakes, steering and cooling system. There has been ongoing maintenance since then including servicing, an overhaul of the steering bushes, work to the brakes and replacement of the water pump recently.
Every part of the Daimler's care and refurbishment is detailed in a history file going back over forty years including MOT certificates. There have been only two owners during this time, the last one since 2014.
