Unique and very original from the very first owner!
Mr. Stam bought this Volvo new on March 9, 1977 and has taken care of it for more than 45 years.
The original requested brochures, leaflets and information from Volvo Netherlands are also included. In addition, a whole folder full of documentation surrounding this 300 series. This is a particularly early Volvo 343 with many DAF features!
The exterior is finished in metallic blue with many chrome accents. A very lived-in appearance and the paintwork has been touched up in a few places. However, no rotten spots. A good and, above all, solid foundation. The paintwork still shines beautifully.
The underside of the Volvo is rock hard. It has certainly been maintained in the past and is therefore still neat.
The interior has beige fabric with the special DAF/ Volvo 66 nun hood seats. These high chairs are highly sought after and rarely available in beige. As clearly visible in the photos, there are traces of wear, but they have not sagged. Only the back seat is unfortunately too far gone and covered with a cover. The original fabric is still underneath. The dashboard is made of typical brown plastic with a Volvo time clock. The beige interior in combination with the blue exterior is a beautiful combination. The original Volvo accessories box is still in the trunk. Completely in the shape of the trunk of the 343, a very nice and rarely seen accessory!
The original B14 (1, 397cc) engine has a power of 74 hp. Only 139, 278 km driven! The mileage is logical and also demonstrable with the various documentation. The engine block has recently been started again and the carburetor has been cleaned and adjusted. Runs very nicely.
The well-known Variomatic shifts up and down well, but the clutch plate will need to be replaced in the future. This has also been recently adjusted.
Driving is possible and it can also be legally used on the road (inspection until 06-2024). Drives, brakes and shifts well, but definitely needs some maintenance/ adjustment.
This time capsule is in used, but driving condition and has a valid MOT inspection. Of course, all available documentation is included.
Suitable as a daily driver, but also certainly a unique and driving collector's item to make even more beautiful in the future.
