Inside:

Exceptionally clean and well presented interior including the rare option of rear sun blinds. The seats are in good condition with just a minor amount of creasing and the odd mark. The rear seats are also in good condition, as are all four door cards. There are a full set of BMW mats which have little wear but the odd mark, and the carpets are all clean and tidy. Inside the boot is in the same condition, with a full size spare wheel and new tyre with full factory tool kit and jack. All cabin controls fully operational other than the radio which works intermittently. Toolkit and First Aid kit are unused.

The dashboard is free from any noticeable damage. The instrument cluster is in good order and works correctly, with no warning lights displayed when the car is running. The odometer shows a reading of just 99, 300 miles. The glovebox still contains the BMW torch. The original multifunction steering wheel is in good condition and fully operational. The gear selector has little signs of wear and the air conditioning is very cold.

Outside:

Crucially for an E39, there is no rust on the sills, fuel cap, arches or boot and the alloys are not kerbed. I have removed the wheel arch liners and included photos of the rust free sills. Fitted with the turbine alloy wheels, these are in good condition with no signs of corrosion and they have been removed and deep cleaned. The matching set of Nexen tyres have a good amount of tread all round.

The car has a clean history check. Only the front bumper has had fresh paint which is understandable for a 22 year old car. Finished in Orient Blue, the paintwork on the car is in good shape. There are some age-related stone chips and small scratches but nothing that will disappoint.

The underside is very clean having been professionally detailed underneath. There are minimal signs of surface corrosion to any of the suspension or steering components.

The windows are in good condition with no chips, cracks or noticeable scratches, other than the original windscreen which has a small chip. All of the seals and trims appear to be in acceptable order, the windscreen seal which is cosmetic has perished in places. The headlight lenses have little discolouration. The fog lights and rear lights have no damage.

The 520i M54 engine is smooth with no issues when starting and running the car, and around the engine bay, there are no signs of any leaks or anything untoward. There are no knocks, bangs, or rattles coming from the car. Fitted with the Steptronic gearbox, the change is smooth, with no jerking or juddering on any change. A full tank of fuel will return 400 miles.

This rare 520i Touring originally came from BMW Holland Park, London with ten service stamps from BMW Holland Park between 2001 and 2013 and receipts from independent specialists thereafter. The car lived in Knightsbridge and South Kensington for the majority of its life. The car has original BMW Holland Park number plates.

An E39 Touring in this colour combination with no rust and under 100k miles, which equates to just 4. 5k miles per annum, is now a rare find.
