1967 Ford Mustang coupe / notch-back.
No rust on the vehicle at all and immaculate leather (complete) interior. Finished in a modern take on the classic ‘Candy Apple Red’. The paint work is very sharp with no fading or bubbling whatsoever.
Original straight 6 engine with C-4 3 speed automatic transmission. Bespoke exhaust system, which allows you to choose between (via a switch under the dash) stock pipes or straight-through burbler to get a performance boost and that V8 sound. Very reliable engine that runs smoothly and surprisingly good on the old MPGs.
No power steering and drum brakes all round.
Only bad bits to speak of:
- Small chip in front windscreen;
- Small stone chips in paint (as you’d expect).
All in all, a very nice, rust free example.
Very original 1967 Ford Mustang. Originally a California car, rolled off the production line in San Jose in May 1967.
Shipped over to the UK in 2007 and had a full, bare metal restoration (I have documented photos and receipts). At this time, the engine was also rebuilt (I also have the receipt for this). First registered for UK roads in 2008, but dry stored under insulated cover and rarely used between 2008 and 2022. I purchased the car in 2022 and after some very light recommissioning, have enjoyed the car over the last couple of years. In my ownership, the car has only been driven in dry weather and when not used, stored in my garage under cover. Only selling due to the imminent arrival of my second child and the need for a house extension which will reduce the garage size.
I am only the second UK owner.
V5 present.
Registered as a historic vehicle, so MOT and tax exempt.
In my ownership, I’ve carried out the following maintenance / work:
- New front brake hardware;
- New wheels and tyres;
- Radiator flush;
- New thermostat and temp sender;
- Oil and filter changes (annually);
- New spark plugs;
- New fuel and air filters;
- New speakers and CD player (speakers all in original slots).
