My understanding is that this remarkable, very low mileage (10393 genuine miles) Fiat Seicento was purchased originally by the Father of the Managing Director of the Piccadilly Motor Group. This Group has a number of dealerships in the North of England, which included at the time a Fiat franchise. This gentleman used the car sparingly up until c. 2015 and had the car annually MOT’ed at the same garage, Watson’s MOT and Service Centre in Selby, North Yorkshire. Although I do not have in my possession documented receipts from this garage, the car passed all its MOTs bar one there with no advisories, and the one failure was duly rectified. This strongly suggests a high level of maintenance, despite the very low annual mileage.

The car’s ownership then passed to his Son (ie. the Managing Director). From what I know he then dry stored the car with his existing car collection for a period of years from c. 2016. This has meant that the mileage has remained very low. I then acquired the vehicle back end of last year, blown away by the originality, condition and the low mileage of it.

The pictures of the vehicle should speak for themselves, the bodywork is great, the metallic red paintwork shines, the interior is really ‘as new’ as you would expect with such a low mileage vehicle. Everything works perfectly, the car fires up first time. All the tyres are in great shape as well and both the original dealer rear window sticker and number plates are present.

On acquiring the vehicle, I have ensured the following actions were undertaken:

- The brakes were stripped and overhauled.
- A new battery was fitted.
- The car was then successfully MOT’ed at a local MOT garage to me and it now has a current MOT valid until December 2024.

As way of further preventative maintenance and to ensure the car is working perfectly, I had the following carried out by my trusted mechanic:

- A full service was undertaken, including oil and filter change (correct specification Castrol Magnatec 10w 40 oil used), air filter and 4 new NGK spark plugs.
- Furthermore, and importantly, the cambelt, water pump and auxiliary belt were replaced and new wiper blades fitted.
- All invoices for the above are available in a catalogued folder.
- A final thorough inspection to determine whether anything else required addressing. Nothing was reported necessary.

With the low mileage and recent remedial action taken to ensure further longevity and reliability, the car performs exceptionally and drives great.

Although it is the basic spec, it shares the same 1108cc engine used in the Sporting version, providing sprightly pace and is extremely economical, low to tax and within the very lowest of the low insurance levels. It is also ULEZ compliant.

I actually warm to the basic spec, there is less to go wrong. It is a pleasure and fun to drive, effortless to park and manoeuvre, but also surprisingly good at higher speeds on the motorway.

Who would the car suit? I guess there’s the obvious learner or new driver based on how easy it is to drive and the very low insurance and cost of ownership. Or, it could be used as a tow car behind a Campervan perhaps, something retro and different from the norm. Or, as a little daily driver, something incredibly cheap to run which would no doubt receive comments due to its increasing rareness.

All in all, I do not think you would find such a low mileage example of a Seicento here in the UK, or further afield. I would like to keep the car, but current circumstances dictate that I need to reduce my car collection and there’s a genuine reason for sale. Incidentally, I have another vehicle for recent sale on this site as well.

Any questions, please let me know.

Genuine and unmodified, original Fiat Seicento with such incredible low mileage and recently fully recommissioned after a period in dry storage.
