EXTERIOR
Finished in a mesmeric shade of metallic Mariana Blue protected by Full PPF from factory, the proportions of this Grand Tourer are quite exceptional – with kerb appeal that suits either the pitlane or ports of Monaco, the DBS name lives on with style and grace. You can immediately recognise the Aston bloodline, with those rear quarter hips so reminiscent of the Vanquish, though this Superleggera somehow manages to fuse the tough with the elegant so very well.

Fitted with a whole host of desirable ‘Q’ exterior upgrades alongside a double diffuser, front splitter, air-dam and aero-optimised underside this Coupe presents and performs beautifully.

INTERIOR
GT cars have to be well appointed built to cover huge distances with a minimum of fuss and this Aston ticks all the boxes. The vented and heated sports seats are infinitely adjustable, fitted out in this case with some intricate Triaxal quilting and a contrast stitch, which hug and support in all the right places whilst satin Carbon fibre and dark chrome trims feature throughout. True to form, the DBS cabin is not only a very special place to be, but now features a fully adjustable powertrain and gearbox to suit all manner of driving conditions.

Finally, the optional Bang & Olufsen stereo system is really quite something; fitted at great expense it is of peerless sound and quality.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
With over 700hp available via an 8 speed Auto box and mechanical Limited Slip Differential the performance is brutal with 100mph achievable in 6. 5 seconds; proper Supercar territory. Given these headline numbers there is still superb traction given the rear wheel drive set up.

Naturally the car is incredibly capable, but it is the nuances of the adjustable driving modes where the sweet spot lays and iconic GT status is secured – even with the powertrain and damping at their stiffest settings, the DBS does not compromise on damping or refinement.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The Gloss Black lightweight forged wheels are unmarked wrapped in Pirelli P Zero rubber showing ample tread front to back.

Considering the size and footprint of this mighty Aston it’s reassuring to see a wholly capable Carbon Ceramic braking system – in this case with bright Lime Calipers clamping huge 400mm discs.
