2nd owner, Fordie was a gift from my father. He's been very well taken care of. Low mileage, original paint, as are all the vital parts of the car.
Recently new front homo-kinetics built in, a set of sparks + cables, regular filter + oil change, new battery (under warranty). Set of winter tyres, windscreen wipers, etc - Fordie passed his MOT with flying colours.
Very tidy inside-out. A nice 5-door family car, low consumption, enough power to make a quality work-horse, if needed. Been used as a family car, only - hence so well preserved.
We'd like him to go into good & loving hands. Fordie would Love an enthusiast to keep him going for another 33 years. He's an oldtimer, so tax exempt, fully road-worthy, registered & ensured.
Comes to You with a few minor issues to be resolved, like: the cassette radio is present but not connected, speedometer cable should be checked, too... that's about it. The interior is very well preserved, recently We've installed new car-seat covers.
Heating is amazing, all the window mechanisms are fully functional...
Feel free to make an inquiry on any details I might have left out.
This Fordie has a Soul. His first owner was a fireman. He kept the car garaged & well maintained, low mileage of just 50 000km from new shows that this car was driven on special occasions, only.
Fordie came to us as my father's gift. I started my own art studio & needed a reliable, trustworthy, 5-door oldtimer.
Fordie came like a white dove. One day my Dad gave me a set of Ford keys & the fob said: Plymouth 1903. I said: "Gosh, Dad - 1903.?! Do I need a horse to pull that one?"
Out I went and my Dad took us for a spin. I asked about the brakes & got a demo... I wish I didn't ask - I've had a bruise on my forehead from hitting the dashboard, for a week. Believe me, Fordie stops like the Batmobile.
What's my favourite thing about this classic? The way Fordie sails down the road, You'd almost take Your hands off the steering & lay back. This is the comfiest oldtimer We've had, since our '58 Impala. Besides being comfy, Fordie has such a friendly face - it seems like He's smiling at You from the parking lot. There is a special feel about this car, if You loved watching "Herbie" - You'll understand.
