Description
The Alfa Romeo 2. 6 SZ that we propose to you has recently undergone a complete mechanical restoration. Mechanically, in fact, all components have been restored and it now presents itself in order and ready for every test drive. There are photographs and material relating to all the mechanical workings of the recent restoration, including the engine unit, gearbox and brakes. The bodywork is in generally good condition, although the car was born white and then repainted in Rosso Alfa . Original and well-preserved upholstery. Black number plates with province code in orange. Original bookplate. In 1963 Zagato presented the prototype of its interpretation of the Alfa Romeo 2600, (named Series 106. 12) designed by Ercole Spada with an innovative, decidedly aerodynamic line, recognisable by the front end equipped with elliptical headlights. It was distinguishable by its particularly original lines reminiscent of the contemporary Zagato style, making it similar to the Lancia Flaminia Super Sport. However, this car was only put into production three years later, starting in 1965 and produced for only two years, in 105 examples, of which 32 were made in 1965, 59 in 1966 and only 14 in 1967, of which one example belonged to the iconic Sophia Loren. __________ The Alfa Romeo 2. 6 SZ we are offering has recently undergone a complete mechanical restoration.
