Here is my Japanese Domestic Market only FTR 223 "Tri-Colour"
Declared manufactured 3rd April 2001, first registered in Great Britain 1st Oct. 2018, I bought it 26th Feb. 2020.
At 9467 miles I fitted Pirelli MT21 Rally Cross tyres, (fully road legal) a carrier, rear shoes and a lithium battery.
At 10837 miles, it had a new Japanese D. I. D. chain.
At 11360 miles, new pads and Genuine Honda disc.
It is currently showing 18519km (11547miles)
Current MOT until 23 Oct. 2024.
These bikes are recognised as being just about bullet proof motor-wise. It always starts and rides perfectly, I would ride it anywhere.
These early Tri-Colour MC34 models are quite unusual with the big side number plates, modelled for JDM on the 500cc versions which were actually used in a Flat Track series in the USA.
There is some wear on the paintwork and the left hand side of the tank is scuffed (not dented), the plastic choke lever was snapped so now has a bit of alloy rod inserted and the ignition switch would play up so I have by-passed it with a pull switch, but there is still a key used for the steering lock, toolbox and petrol cap.
I have an MOT conforming rear number plate to go with it
Thank you for reading.
I bought it because it is rare to see over here, the colour is unusual and it is dead easy to ride.
Also, most of these have had an aftermarket exhaust fitted. This one is standard, so you can proceed without attracting attention.
