Description
A super-original and very rare Talbot Alpine in blue/ silver with the 1592cc engine. Used regularly by a gentleman owner who has had the car since 1992 with only two prior owners. The car has been well maintained and runs and drives just as it should.
The body is sound: the floors and sills are solid and the car still boasts the original jacking points. The tailgate lip is a bit crusty but otherwise all is in good shape with just some light bubbling around the wheel arches to attend to should the new owner wish. Paintwork is generally good all round although the plastic body trim mouldings are a little tired looking and the wing mirrors could do with a tidy-up.
Inside is in really good. Seats and trim are all in good condition with just a small sun-damaged crack to the top of the dashboard.
Mechanically, the car has been well looked after and serviced regularly. Whilst not the most exciting performance, it’s still a spritely drive and runs well with nothing out-of-the-ordinary to report with the exception of the front-right brake caliper which is grabbing and will need addressing prior to the next MOT
Once commonplace, this is a rare survivor of everyday ‘80s motoring in very usable condition and with scope to fettle and improve should it be wished. The car comes with the original owners handbook and various other documents including a Haynes workshop manual.
