Bought new in May 1962 this beautiful Moggy is still very much in factory standard condition and is ready to enjoy today, wants nothing but enjoying, lately owned and enjoyed by a vicar (we know it’s a cliché but it genuinely has the title “Revd” on the logbook), this car has been cherished over the years, it presents really well and drives lovely, please don’t miss our comprehensive YouTube demonstration video which shows the car in its entirety.
It starts instantly and runs well, drives effortlessly pulling strongly through all the gears, great clutch with no slip or judder, you can hardly hear the engine at tick over its quite, it stops in a straight line with no pulling or veering (again please see the video we spend over four minutes touring the underside), handbrake is good, lights wipers, wind down windows, quarter lights, door catches and locks all work as intended. There is no breathing from the oil filer cap and no spitting from the dipstick when running, all in all it drives really well.
Inside is finished in red to a very high standard, the carpets are good and the headlining, door cards and rear panels are all very presentable, it has twin glove box lids and a working heater fitted, plus some additional gauges, all working correctly. Currently showing 14855 miles, assumed 114855. The tyres all really good with ample tread and there is a good spare and a selection of tools in the boot.
The car is HPI clear with a current printout, we have the full current logbook and the old buff logbook plus a huge history file brimming with notes, invoices, old MOTs, tax disc’s, service sheets, going all the way back to the 60’s. It’s MOT exempt and the road tax is free, classic insurance should be a round £100 for most drivers over 25, parts are readily available and there are a multitude of clubs, rallies, regional groups and national for these charming little cars.
The paintwork is very good, with deep shine and offering a good reflection when caught in the sunlight, the odd imperfection will be found on very close inspection. Bright work is all very good, not new and slightly aged but all perfectly fine.
