Hello and welcome to the sale of this lovely Triumph Vitesse. This locally owned car has been with it's last retired engineer owner for over five years, in which time it has been very well maintained and upgraded to make it an excellent usable survivor example. It has a large history file documenting work carried out over the years. The body and paintwork have clearly been subject to a light refresh some years ago, with a few light age related marks and patina here and there, but remains looking fresh and sharp with a deep shine to the attractive green paintwork, with no notable corrosion concerns or anything requiring immediate attention. It has a very smart set of chrome wire wheels, with modern radial tyres for improved road holding. All the brightwork, grilles and trims are in good order, with nothing missing or broken. The folding hood is very presentable and in good working order, along with a nice tonneau cover to keep things neat. The black interior is in great condition, with a very smart wood dash and matching door cappings, a working radio and a cool Moto-Lita 3 spoke steering wheel. Another welcome addition is a pair of black leather seats sourced from an MGF. This popular upgrade gives far superior comfort than the originals, and look in perfect keeping. All the instrument dials are in good working order. The mileage shows at 23k, as with most classic cars please take this as unwarranted simply due to the age and lack of ability to verify. Under the bonnet, everything is present and correct, with a great degree of detail and many recent new parts fitted. The 2. 0 straight six GT6 style engine fires straight up and sounds fantastic with a deep throaty tone through the upgraded stainless steel exhaust system. On the road it provides excellent power delivery through the 4 speed gearbox and overdrive, providing brisk and fun acceleration that would surprise many! Also worthy of mention is that the gearbox has been reconditioned with revised gear ratios, which is another popular and sought after modification that provides improved drivability. Underneath, the chassis and floorpans are very clean, tidy and in a reassuringly solid condition, with no cause for concern or any dodgy under seal covering up anything undesirable. Whilst underneath you would also notice the upgraded Spax shock absorbers, and various other details like the replacement brake lines. It is of course both tax and MOT exempt making it a very simple ownership prospect. To sum up, this is a very cool looking, tastefully and thoughtfully improved example of this desirable and practical four seat classic British convertible, in great condition throughout, ready to enjoy and I am sure the new owner will be very pleased.
