We are very pleased to offer a very well preserved and maintained low mileage 1985 Austin Mini City E. Finished in the fantastic and very period metallic Moonraker blue and still wearing its original black bumpers, grille and wheels trims. Original specification Minis are hard to find especially one it is City E spec. The Mini has only covered 48k in 39 years with only 4 previous owners, one for over 20 years. It was supplied by us just over three years ago and it has been maintained and serviced by us since. It is accompanied with its original service book and a raft of MOT certificates and a large service history folder pointing to a cared for life. It refreshing to find a City E that still has its original looks and feel.
On the road this Mini drives very well indeed. The original 998 engine has fantastic oil pressure and the engine is smooth, performance is brisk and the gearbox is taught and precise. This is also the last year that the centre binnacle was fitted to Minis so the pure Mini driving experience is on offer. This City E is great fun to drive and easily keeps up with modern traffic. Four new tyres and disc brakes means the legendary Mini handling is on offer and it has effective stopping power.
The interior is very well presented and typically eighties. The seat centres have been retrimmed in cream replacing the original delicate cloth and it has been done to a high standard. The original centre clock is present and it has also been upgraded to a three clock binnacle now giving water temp and oil pressure and it has a sexy wood rimmed steering wheel. The carpets and roof liner are original which always a plus point.
The Mini has a solid shell with good floors, sills, boot floor and subframes. The paintwork is very well presented and virtually blemish free and it really belies its vintage. This Mini offers its new owner a great all round package and is very useable and easy to drive and as mentioned very well preserved and maintained and its now ready to make you smile.
The Mini is fully serviced, checked, tuned and and will be supplied with a full MOT. It is also MOT and Tax exempt next years.
