Before its restoration as an 'SS' replica, it was used as a race car in private hands, eventually becoming just a shell awaiting a new purpose
The shell found its perfect new owners in an American muscle enthusiast husband and wife team. The couple restored the Camaro alongside an El Camino, creating the perfect his-and-hers two-car garage
Now finished in Ford Panther Black with grey leather Saab seating, even featuring custom-stitched belts
Motivation is provided by an ex-race, over-bored 5. 5-litre small block V8 paired with an automatic transmission for comfortable day-to-day cruising
Upon completion of the build, the car was featured on the cover of issue #187 (Nov 2006) of Classic American magazine
Showing a few imperfections after nearly 20 years since its restoration, it remains a well-presented piece of Classic Americana, eager to return to the show scene
