Hello, L'atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale today this beautiful Triumph TR6 Overdrive in this elegant configuration with its white colour, black interior and matching soft top. The TR6 stands out in the manufacturer's catalogue, initially intended for the US market, this little English car is more muscular than its predecessors.
Our example originated in the US and was imported into France in 1993. Its current owner has owned it for more than 20 years and now wishes to sell it. A thick file of invoices accompanies the vehicle.
The paintwork is in good condition, the whole car has a good shine and there are no major defects, while the chrome is perfectly shiny. Inspection of the underbody reveals a particularly sound car, free from perforating or structural corrosion. The upholstery is in good condition overall, with a slight patina that adds to its charm.
The burr walnut dashboard is in superb condition. The carpets are in good condition and in keeping with the original. The black mohair soft top has recently been replaced. We also have a black hard top available at extra cost. Mechanically, the car starts easily without noise or smoke and revs up quickly.
The gearbox guides and locks its gears correctly, and the overdrive is functional. The running gear behaves well, having been overhauled a few years ago. The ball joints and wishbone silent blocks have been replaced, and the latter have been treated with polyurethane for greater rigidity. The stabiliser bar and rear axle silent blocks have also been replaced. The suspensions are efficient, the front shock absorbers having recently been replaced. The steering has no play, the brakes are well balanced, and aviation hoses have been fitted. The original rims are fitted with Dunlop tyres. The vehicle has its own owner's manual.
