Description
Dodge A116 Coupe. The Dodge 116 was a passenger car made by Dodge Brothers in Detroit, which was introduced in June 1922 as a further development of the Model 30 as the 1923 model. It was the first car ever to have an all-steel body. The model was built in over 500, 000 units by 1925, so the parts supply is quite good. No other car in its class was considered so robust at the time. The car on offer here is in very original condition. The original leather interior is now 100 years old. The entire sheet metal is very good, there are no repair welds to be found. The 4-cylinder side-valve engine starts willingly and pulls away powerfully. The gearbox shifts cleanly (with intermediate throttle). The large outer shoe brake decelerates surprisingly well. The electrics are factory-fitted with 12 volts and work as they should. A rarely offered classic from the Ford T era, but can be driven like a "normal pre-war classic". Dutch vehicle documents are available for the car. A viewing is possible by appointment.
