In 1978, Citroën launched the Visa. As with the LN, it was based on the 104, this time a saloon, but Citroënised to death, inside and out, with the 'pig-nose' front end of the first models, which was far from universally appreciated. It was for this reason that, in the early 1980s, Citroën entrusted Heuliez with the onerous task of restyling the Visa. Gérard Godfroy, the future co-daddy of Venturi, carried out the mission, and it was one of the most successful re-stylings in the French car industry. The Visa left the catalogue in 1988, two years after the introduction of the AX, but its utility version, the much-missed C15, survived until 2006. The model on offer is an unusual VISA phase II 10 E, initially intended for export and launched on the French market in April 1986, Citroën produced 30, 424 of them.
