This 420 was delivered new in Switzerland on 26 May 1967. It was a rare version equipped with a manual gearbox and an overdrive, allowing it to exploit the qualities of the 4. 2-litre XK engine to the full. It only had three owners. The second, a Frenchman, acquired it in 1983 and the third in 2004. It has only covered 144, 000 kilometres and has always been perfectly maintained. 18 years ago, its last owner undertook some serious work to keep the car in perfect condition. The mechanics were completely overhauled and the car has covered only 10, 000 km since then. The upholstery and woodwork have also been reconditioned by renowned craftsmen.
