Offered for sale is; My July 1965 Cortina GT. JNK366C. Chassis No BA77EP*****
This car is a genuine one lady registered owner vehicle from new.
It retains the original GT engine fitted from new.
It has been serviced & maintained all its life & as far as I can tell, has always been garaged.
Some important & with “everything in continuous, original period“ time wise, maintenance has been carried out as,
& when, needed over all the ensuing years.
For instance, some years ago when they were still available, a pair of new front wings were supplied & fitted buy a Ford main agent. The two front spot lamps & AA badge were fitted when the car was new, etc, etc.
It has the usual 2 plates welded to the top of the strut mountings
The roof lining is like brand new (non smoker!)
As can be seen from the photos, the color is Ermine white. The interior trim is in the original Ford black.
Probably the only item needing attention is the rev counter, which reads ‘fast’. The original Ford radio works well.
The MOT runs from 14th July this year until 13th July next. There are NO advisory notes added.
This is a very genuine, unmolested, original, one owner, 65. 000 only, miles car. With much provenance, from the wad of old bills & documents etc, that go with the car.
Nothing is impossible BUT, you would be hard pushed to find a better un-restored original.
White is the original Ford applied color & not a re-paint job. Undersealed from new, NO welding required underneath.
The black 'streaks' in boot is the Ford sealing 'goo' NOT rust!! I have MOT's going back 20 ish years that confirm mileage.
Some economics...............
You can easily spend £2000 or £3000 on a total rusty wreck, (IF you can find a 2 door !!) + £10000 on restoration costs + a couple of years labour + strugling to find the expencive bits (like wings at £500 each !!) on eBay all the time.

I became aware of JNK366C being offered for sale in May of this year, went to view, & just had to have it!!
The lady who owned it had passed away, leaving the GT "willed" to a sister-in-law, with whom it remained, unused for an unknown period of time. The last tax disc expired in July 2004.
To get her going again after my purchase, I fitted a new battery, points, plugs & exhaust system.
Generally checked it over & put it in for an MOT, which it passed first time, then insured & historic taxed it for a year.
My problem is, after all the enthusiasm / is not enough room to keep it!!
At the present time, I have 4 Mk1 Cortinas, but with garaging for only 3. In order not to ruin such an original example by keeping it outside in the winter with a sheet over it.
I have very reluctantly decided to be realistic!! & sell the GT again.
As I had not got around to registering it in my name as yet, there is still only the one registered owner from new, in the V5.
