Description

Mercedes 230 Type W110 Heckflosse (1967) - Timeless elegance by Paul Bracq - Iconic saloon This Mercedes is the successor to the "Ponton"; a combination of the American style of the 60s with German precision and its 6-cylinder engine which brought nobility to this range. Our example, delivered new in France in 1967, is at its best. It follows in the footsteps of the "Fintail" with its rear wings (the first of the brand to sport the wing style), a more modern design, the top of the range of the W110 series. Dunkelrot bodywork (DB542), 75, 644 km odometer reading, black imitation upholstery, grey carpets in very good condition; note that the roof lining needs refreshing but is not torn. A beautiful engine combined with a spacious and very bright interior. 6-cylinder, 2306cc, 120 bhp engine (produced between 1966 & 1968). 4-speed manual gearbox. 2 Zenith inverted carburettors. Heckflosse bodywork (small rear spoilers) without corrosion; Large vertical central speedometer Mottled grey carpets in very good condition Bright chrome in good condition Large, wide, thin-rimmed steering wheel with chrome ring for horn Disc brakes (a real plus for safety) Wheels with original Mercedes hubcaps History and maintenance Meticulously maintained at the Longchamp garage in Paris (+ €7, 500 in invoices between 2021 and 2024) Invoice file Delivered new in France in 1967 Last model in the W110 line An inimitable design , a prestige saloon, a star of the road The 230 W110 is the real Mercedes with the Heckflosse fins (approx. 40, 000 copies), with its robust and powerful 6-cylinder engine in a compact body - a unique cocktail!
A real jewel for its time, and a good compromise between elegance and performance, the 230W110 is still the most sought-after of all because the 6-cylinder petrol version is the most noble, the most reliable and, above all, the most powerful.
Luxurious without being ostentatious, robust, refined, fast without being fiery, and with a little American flair without denying its German roots. 13hp collector's registration certificate Workshop service included Start-up package: €150 (minimum €30 fuel, cosmetic preparation, safety kit) Registration certificate for the new owner not included in the price This is a rare opportunity to acquire an iconic saloon and a very fine collector's item.
