Originally supplied new in Austria, this Split Screen camper lived a second life in Zimbabwe before being imported into the UK in 2014. It’s an unusually globetrotting van with plenty of character and presence. In 2015, the current owner carried out a raft of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades, with a folder of invoices and receipts included to support the work done.
The camper presents solidly overall, though the bodywork would benefit from some attention in places. There’s a dent in the roof that could be addressed, areas of paint that make sense to sort, but the structure feels right, and it’s been maintained where it matters.
Inside is where this one really shines. The beautiful bespoke oak interior was created by SJH Joinery and offers a genuine, high-quality feel—real wood cabinetry that’s properly constructed and far from the usual lightweight chipboard setups. It’s warm, practical, and built to last.
The interior features a full-width folding table, ¾ rock ’n’ roll bed, rear buddy seat, and plenty of cupboard and storage space. Safari and pop-out side windows keep the airflow moving, and matching curtains provide privacy when needed. Madmatz cab carpet, chequered rear vinyl flooring, and a Retro Sounds stereo round things off nicely. It’s comfortable, well-equipped, and ready to be enjoyed.
This van comes with a Just Kampers external cover and a 1500cc engine (Displaying 8, 321 miles, non verified) plus a nicely appointed cooking area including a dual hob, sink, and gas bottle.
This van would ideally suit someone looking for a rolling restoration, i. e. a van that drives well but needs some attention to the bodywork to maximise the potential moving forward.
