The Jaguar MK2 is without doubt an iconic collector's car. This is due not only to the stunning, elegant design of this British saloon, but also to its driving comfort. It's no wonder that the Jaguar MK2 has featured in a number of TV series and films. This Jaguar MK2 was delivered in the UK in 1968 with the standard 3. 4-litre six-cylinder petrol engine. Although this engine was already remarkably powerful, it could be even better. This beautiful indigo blue Jaguar MK2 is powered by a 3. 8-litre six-cylinder engine. The result is a very smooth and comfortable Jaguar MK2, with a magnificent sound. Much of the car's service history is still available, including several British service invoices from the 1970s and 1980s. This right-hand drive Jaguar MK2 arrived in the Netherlands in 1998. It was purchased by a garage owner in Zevenaar, England, and brought back to the Netherlands for restoration. During this restoration, the car was also repainted. Between 2013 and 2016, the fully revised 3. 8-litre engine (from the E-Type) was installed and converted to unleaded. Disc brakes and reinforced leaf springs were also fitted at the same time. This beautiful Jaguar MK2 is not a 340, but a 3. 8-litre. The indigo blue paintwork has a beautiful deep sheen and the chrome is in excellent condition. The same applies to the various rubber parts and trim. The elegant spoked wheels match the deep dark blue paintwork perfectly. The body panels fit together perfectly and the doors close efficiently and securely. The beautiful red leather upholstery blends perfectly with the elegant indigo blue paintwork. It's still in excellent condition, and the seats and rear bench are exceptionally comfortable. The red carpet is also in excellent condition, as is the magnificent wooden dashboard. The various wood finishes are in good condition, as is the chrome and trim. All the instruments are in good working order. The original headlining is in reasonably good condition. This Jaguar MK2 drives with exceptional smoothness and comfort. The powerful 3. 8-litre six-cylinder engine, developing around 220 bhp, is not only a pleasure to listen to, but above all to drive. The steering is exceptionally smooth, and gear changes are easy and precise. The brakes are firm and solid. It's clear that this car has been meticulously maintained and cared for. In short, a beautiful car with a perfect engine!
