Beschreibung
The final version of the Minor was launched in 1962 with 1098cc engine, stronger gearbox, larger drum brakes and various detail upgrades.
This car is a 1967 Minor saloon in Old English White with a Cherokee red interior. It came to us as a part exchange on a more expensive Traveller that we recently sold in similar condition.
It was “nut and bolt” restored a few years ago to the highest standard, the car was initially stripped to a bare shell which was rebuilt then treated to a bare metal re-paint. The engine, gearbox, brakes and running gear were rebuilt with every item refurbished or replaced and a complete new interior was installed. There is too much to list here in terms of replacement parts but in brief, everything is new including chrome, lights, exhaust, lock-set, wiring loom and electrical components.
The result is outstanding, the quality of the work is second to none, the very high quality paint finish extends to the under bonnet and inside the doors and the panel fit is superb. Apparently the body renovation cost more than our asking price!
As you’d expect after all of this work it drives beautifully. The last owner carried out a little further spending; fitting new rear leaf springs, telescopic shock absorber conversion and electronic ignition.
One unusual feature worth mentioning is an ultra rare folding passenger seat.
Ready to use and enjoy.
Comes with several hundred photos of the re-fit.
Viewing at Disley, SK12.
