THE SINGER Vogue was the first mass produced British saloon to feature quadruple (twin) headlights. The Series 1 was launched in 1961 and here we have a Series III, the pick of the first three variants as its 1600cc engine was up-rated from 66 to 84 bhp. So, rest assured you have a sprightly driver that is more than capable of dealing with modern day traffic.
She comes with a very good and comprehensive MoT history and indeed possesses a current MoT until November 2025. In the past 10 years she has covered around 700 miles and has spent most of the time safely garaged. The last owner (the car has just three former keepers) informs me that a friend of his purchased it in 2014 and fitted new sills as well as giving the Vogue a total re-spray just to freshen up the old girl. It still looks superb to this day I have to say. Old MoTs show that the Singer has done just 2, 000 miles in the past 43 years! Thus, we are as certain as can be that the current mileage of 43, 000 is correct.
A beautifully designed Rootes Group model, this Vogue is a pleasure to drive and, in fact, you can barely hear the engine as it is so sweet. There are photos of the work being done in 2014.
She is probably crying out for something resembling regular, careful use having spent so many years garaged. She is on the button and ready to go. A really pretty and rare car!
