Description
Magnificent Singer 9 Le Mans Special Speed. (The Singer 9 Le Mans was launched following Singer's success in the eponymous 24-hour race.)
4-cylinder inline, 972cc, 34 bhp with dual Solex carburettors. The Special Speed features a tuned engine with dual carburettors and a gearbox with shorter gearing.
The exterior colour is British Racing Green with chestnut brown leather interior, finished with a wooden dashboard.
Restored and overhauled with a body-off restoration 30 years ago. Consistently maintained and cared for with proper attention. As a result, the car still looks absolutely stunning and drives beautifully.
Comprehensive documentation of the restoration is available. As well as a valuation report from 2020.
The car was imported from the United Kingdom in 1970. In the 1990s it was completely dismantled and restored. Since then it has been driven regularly.
When you drive it, you experience the genuine rally driving of yesteryear. The sound, the throttle blips between gear changes...
The combination of the model with its long wings, the spare wheels mounted on the boot, the beautiful green colour (British Racing Green) and the chrome details make it a real 'eyecatcher'!
We have a short video showing the car being driven. We can provide this upon simple request.
