For those of you looking to own an MGC GT and a bargain, here it is!!
So I bought this from an estate as the previous keeper had passed away, the car was brought back to my workshop and we set to work on getting it re commissioned.
Its had had work carried out before I was offered it, including new front brake callipers, new fuel tank and 2 new batteries.
I bought it with a slight miss fire, this was diagnosed and turned out to be 2 exhaust valves required changing. The head has been taken off and a full de-coke carried out and all valves re faced and new exhaust valves fitted. The engine has been tuned to manufacturers setting and both carbs balanced, no expense has been spared on the engine on this car and it now wants for nothing mechanical. The interior was good and only required both front seats reupholstering.
Now I'm selling this as a perfectly good usable classic, this will want bodywork repairs at sometime, but I'm going to let you do that, it doesn't require any welding, just tidying up or leave it as it is and use it.
This is fitted with the over drive and a webasto sunroof, all in fully working order.
Now this is a 2 owner car (Father and Son) so its been in the same family all its life, the Father owned it and used it for 25 years and 5 months and the son then acquired it and used it for the last 29 Years.
I have the V5 and some paperwork with the car, but the estate were unable to find anymore.
We are told that the mileage is genuine mileage at just under 88k, I've seen these for as much as £38, 000!!! Remember you don't have to do the bodywork, but if you wanted an excellent MGC then there's some bodywork to be carried out.
This is a late built University Motors car too.
