1969 MG MGC GT, a classic British coupé combining elegance and driving comfort. Imported from Belgium in 1986, it underwent a complete restoration, both cosmetically and mechanically. Since then, it has been maintained in perfect working order and regularly used for club outings and long journeys. Its engine is reliable, with a full service, oil and filter change less than 2, 000 km ago, starts first time, produces no smoke or abnormal noises, and the gearbox is smooth. Recent work includes replacement of the rear brake cylinders, brake pipes and master cylinder, windscreen wiper motor, and a high-intensity Bosch ignition coil. The interior retains its original trim, with minor imperfections, and a body-colour dashboard dating from the restoration. The bodywork is sound. This MGC GT offers both authenticity and tasteful improvements for optimal usability.
The MG MGC GT was launched in 1967 as the grand tourer version of the famous MGB, recognisable by its 2. 9-litre six-cylinder in-line engine. It offered enhanced performance whilst retaining the charm and practicality of the hatchback GT bodywork. Appreciated for its comfort and suitability for long journeys, the MGC positioned itself as a more refined version of the MGB, appealing to drivers seeking a successful marriage between British sporting character and ease of use. Although produced for a short period, the MGC has since gained considerable popularity amongst enthusiasts for its rarity, smooth power delivery and unique character. Today, as a classic car, it offers both historical value and exceptional driving pleasure, making it a sought-after classic for outings and shows.
