Golf MK2 Gti 3 door 1989 90’s spec car G28 EOB
Helios Metallic Blue Anniversary model.
MOT to 01/ 05/ 2026.
Fitted with 9A 16 valve engine with KR cams and twin Dellorto DHLA 45s, Jetex 2. 5” exhaust.
Purchased as project as had been off the road and has been recommissioned by me. With other commitments and projects, I am not going to use the car and its currently in storage.
Recent work, all backed up with receipts/ photos includes –
· Replacement of rusty panels including both front wings, full scuttle panel, rear off side arch with underside cleaned rust treated and stone chipped.
· New windscreen and seal.
· Resprayed in original colour.
· Headliner replaced with Headliner world version, bolster wear on driver’s seat repaired, period radio cassette player fitted.
· New starter motor, battery, HT leads, distributor cap and rotor arm.
· Carburettors cleaned, serviced, filter in regulator changed, new Ramair filters.
· New engine mounts, sump gasket and main crankshaft seal.
· Gearbox rebuilt all syncros work well, new clutch and linkage and longer 5th gear from CHD box.
· Engine/ carburettors setup at Northampton Motorsport and makes a healthy 155BHP.
· New front pads and discs.
· Recent engine oil and filter, gearbox oil, brake fluid and spark plug change.
· Period numberplates from original supplying dealer.
· Sat on BBS RAs with new BBS centre caps, good tread on all tyres. Loads more pictures of work done message me if you are interested.
