Description
I bought this Lancia Delta Integrale 16v a few years ago with every intention of doing a rolling restoration; life got in the way and she has sat in my dry storage since I bought it. I have recently recommissioned her with a new battery, new fuel filter, new fuel pump, full service, refurbished the braking system and an MOT!! We did have to do a small amount of welding for the MOT, under a wheel arch and around the spare tyre area, but other than that, she is very solid, even the scuttle, renowned for going (looks new!). No smoke on starting or running, goes like a rocket!
The car is a very late, JDM, Japanese import; it’s a 1991 car registered on a K reg, LHD. I’ve not seen a later 16v model. The car has 99, 000 km on it, which is around 61, 000 miles. It was imported to UK in 2012 from Japan and has the Japanese import certificate plus lots of receipts for parts and work in the UK. It has some Japanese market details present, flare in the glovebox, sticker on the sun visor.
This one is the non-sunroof and a very original import, with the sought after perforated leather interior, in very good condition. This is the same interior that was available in the Evo 1. The car even still has some of the protective plastic covering on the leather door cards!
The car is standard in every way. Even the fuel regulator still has it’s anti-tamper fitting in place, which is a tell-tale sign that it’s not even been chipped in the past.
It has its original 15” wheels, in good original condition. Virtually all the electrics work; the voltmeter is a bit temperamental!!!! No radio!
The car currently runs evo headlights, but the original 16v ones are in the boot, although not in great condition.
At some point in the past, the car has had an evo rear boot spoiler fitted. This is no longer there, but the holes on the tailgate are still present. The car has air conditioning, but this does not currently work. I believe the condenser and pump are missing, but the hard to find pipework and switchgear all appears to be there.
The parcel shelf is there, and in good condition, and hasn’t been cut up to fit speakers into! These sell for a fortune on their own!
The previous owner spent a lot of money on restoring the mechanical items as follows:
• Cambelts (including bearings/ tensioners)
• Clutch
• Reconditioned Turbo
• Front Flitches welded/ restored
• Gearbox mounts
• Gearbox Linkage bushes
• Track Rods
• Complete standard exhaust system. Correct (expensive) twin outlet system
• Front Discs and Pads
• Rear Discs and pads
• Rear Callipers
• Handbrake cables
• Pretty much all the electronic sensors on the engine:
• air temp sensor
• water temp sensor
• hall effect sensor
• crank sensor etc
• Dizzy cap
• Ignition leads
• Plugs
• Brake master cylinder
• Clutch Master cylinder
• Clutch slave cylinder
• Clutch hose
• Walkers stainless battery tray
• Headlining refurbishment – using original alcantara
• In tank fuel hoses
• Fuel hoses in the engine bay
• Silicon Vacuum hoses
• Tailgate pneumatic rams
• Fuel relays
• There is a Toad CAT1 alarm fitted
The bodywork is not bad; the main areas are:
• Bubbling on the windscreen scuttle
• Back edge of the roof
• Both wings have some bubbling on the front edge and the o/ s one is rusty above the arch
• Rear tailgate – very good condition for one of these, with minimal rust
• Rear wheel arches, these are just starting to show some bubbles
• There are couple of stone chips that have started to bubble on the roof
