Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
The second generation of Ford's popular Capri was introduced in February 1974 and although it was mechanically similar to the Mk1, the Capri MkII had a revised, larger body, a more modern dashboard and a smaller steering wheel
The most powerful model in the range was the 3-litre V6, offered as the 3. 0GT until 1976 when it was replaced by the 138bhp 3. 0 S
The third generation Capri arrived in March 1978 meaning that the Capri MkII is the rarest model and a Capri MkII 3. 0S even rarer still
Dating from early 1978, this 3. 0S has been subject to a full nut and bolt restoration with an engine rebuild carried out as part of the process
Finished in black with Silver 'S' coachlines following a professional respray and presents well with a newly fitted interior including refreshed trim and new headlining
Showing 66, 000 miles at the time of cataloguing, the car has been enjoyed by three previous owners prior to our vendor's purchase in 2020
A strikingly well presented Capri that is ready to be enjoyed on the road, equally suited to a collection of period performance Fords
