Description
Ford Cologne built Capri 3. 0S, Ex-Ford Management Roll car, first registered on the 27th June 1980. Then purchased directly from Ford “Frog Island” employee car sales compound by Mr G. Wilkins on 23rd June 1981, with 5200 miles at a cost of £4328. Transferred to his son Lawrence Wilkins in October 1982. Current V5 document showing 3 previous owners.
During the next few years the car was subject of numerous upgrades, full detail of which are shown in the accompanying images.
In 1992 the car was completely rebuilt including a bare metal repaint and went on the following year to be awarded Car of Show at the 1993 Ford Fair, Stanford Hall, Lutterworth.
The car then remained in storage whilst the owner was working overseas until it received a full recommissioning by a leading and well respected classic car specialist in 2022.
I have owned the car since 2023, covering less than 100 miles, and have enjoyed every minute, but time constraints dictate that I cannot justify keeping it.
This is a fabulous car with a unique history and specification.
