Description

1973 / WILLAM LAMBRETTA S4 "Farmer" ° One of the 20 units produced in this version ° Concours-grade restoration, exceptional quality ° Original colour preserved ° Two-stroke engine, 123 cm³, 6 HP (SAE), 4-speed manual gearbox with reverse ° Quadricycle with engine, drivable from age 14 The presented exemplar: Rare S4 "Farmer" version intended for the French market. Estimated production only 20 units, of which 5 recorded to date. This vehicle has undergone a complete restoration by our company, using the “nuts and bolts” method and meeting concours-quality standards. We have retained and restored all original parts, with a constant aim of conformance to factory output specifications. If the model may seem "simple" at first glance, its restoration is in fact notably complex. Almost all components are specific, rare, and many are hard to find. This research, understanding and implementation work makes this restoration exceptional, both in its authenticity and in its level of execution. On this microcar you will find the full set of components typical of a traditional vehicle: leaf-spring, suspension, 4-speed gearbox, petrol engine with carburettor, electrical equipment, as well as steering and braking elements. All of this, of course, in a compact format. The work performed perfectly illustrates our know-how and the vision we bring to restoration: marrying authenticity, precision and reliability. The vehicle is today fully functional, both on the road and electrically. All controls and push-buttons are in perfect working order. A technical inspection has been validated in France (mandatory since the reform for motorised two-wheelers), attesting to its proper functioning. The braking is effective, the handling is correct and driving is enjoyable today as it was at the time. It should be noted, however, the specific driving style of this type of microcar: as the gearBox is not synchronised, mastering double-declutching is essential to fully appreciate the experience. Chassis no. 20017: This vehicle has known only three owners since its first registration, including two professionals. The last took possession in 2009. With only 2, 819 km since its creation, it presents in its original colour: Salmon Orange. A set of documents accompanies the car, reinforcing its authenticity and historical value: guarantee certificate issued at the time of its new sale, original service book, as well as various papers attesting to its history.
