The first Austin Healeys BN1 and later upgrade BN2 were purebred sports cars for enthusiasts. Lots of great engine sound, wind in your hair, reliability, low-end torque. A pure driving machine.
Specialists consider the first Healeys to be the true, purebred Healey. And the BN2 model in particular received some very important upgrades: a 4-speed gearbox, larger brakes, and a better differential. The BN2 version is very rare, with only 4, 604 cars produced.
This Healey was sold new in the US and was later imported to Denmark. It has had a good life in the USA, which made a later Danish restoration fairly easy to carry out.
The interior is new, the soft top is new, and the original “lever dampers” have been replaced with proper shock absorbers. The exhaust is routed to the side – it sounds fantastic! The appearance is a replica of the car that Carrol Shelby, at the age of 31, drove in the Carrera Panamericana. It is made as stickers and can be removed if it is not to your taste. Note that Austin Healey has a fantastic racing history, which makes it possible to use a car like this in, for example, the historic Mille Miglia, where it is eligible.
Comes with a Heritage certificate and matching numbers
