Very rare GAN1 chassis
1962 MG Midget MK1 in the very unusual and rare factory colour of Ice Blue.
Matching numbers car with original 948cc engine.
Fitted with an original works hardtop with all the correct fittings which has been fully restored and painted in the correct colour of Old English White.
The Midget still retains its original Blue interior which is piped in Grey.
The Midget comes with full weather gear including hood frame , full tonneau cover and a lovely Blue soft top , also the side windows and storage bag are both present.
A nice little touch is an additional boot lid with fitted stainless steel boot rack.
The MK1 was first registered in England in 1962 with the registration number 61HBM and it has since spent time in both Southern Ireland and latterly in Northern Ireland.
The current registration number ALZ9861 is a NI plate so fully legal in the UK.
There is a vast amount of paperwork with the car and very recently a bill for £2700 for full recommissioning and hard top restoration, I has also recently had two new SU carburettors and a high flow aluminium radiator and an additional electric cooling fan.
The Midget is a really fine example with lovely paintwork, beautiful detailed engine bay, excellent underneath and a lovely mellow interior.
Good GAN 1 chassis number Midgets are becoming increasingly rare and desirable so please register your interest early to avoid disappointment.
