Description
This has to be quite simply the finest example of its type following an incredible two year ground up restoration by all the right people at a cost of £107, 700.
It is an original UK supplied matching number example finished in its original colour of Lancia Rally Red with black interior and it has always been a good example as detailed in the comprehensive history files that accompany the car. Over the years it has been maintained and restored by noted marque specialists including Richard Thorne and Omicron. Indeed, it has won a number of concours awards over the years as documented on file.
The last owner, a regular Hairpin client with the highest standards bought the car as easily the best example he had seen having viewed a number across the UK. To all intents and purposes the car was correct, in good fettle and drove well. However, this was not good enough and hence the car was despatched to well-known specialist's John Holden for a full strip down and body rebuild to concours standards as detailed in invoicing on file. Unrivalled Coach Trimming were commissioned to completely retrim the car and restore seats, door cards and other surfaces finishing all in Nappa leather to perfectly emulate the factory trim patterns.
Celebrated Lancia specialists Day and White were entrusted with the full mechanical restoration of the car, again invoicing on file fully details this work. The engine rebuild incorporates Weber DCOE 45 Carbs with trumpets, 123 electronic ignition and sports exhaust. Any parts required were sourced from new old stock, mainly from Omicron Engineering. Subtle upgrades include LED lighting, the standard lights being the Achilles heel of many classics.
A painstaking amount of work went into the refining and detail finish of the car and this is reflected in its level of perfection. It is a truly stunning example of its type with a level of detail that will reward the closest scrutiny.
If you are in the market for a great Fulvia HF you must come and see this car.
