Description
Triumph TR7 Convertible, 196, 237 km – verifiably 96, 237 on the odometer. Left-hand drive for the Swiss market, nothing to fix either mechanically or bodywork, unless you want to change something. The door upholstery is lavender blue velour and PVC, the seating likewise without wear or tears, protected by black covers coordinated with the black floor carpeting. The hood is new, made by a saddle-maker. Since its purchase in 2016 I have driven only 38, 700 km and €12, 000 in maintenance and repair costs on invoices. Unlike other Triumphs, the TR7 is a monocoque (body-shell), with retractable headlights and a sharp-edged profile, length 4. 065 m and weight 1, 000 kg, with wheels fitted with 175/ 70 SR13 tyres. It drops the six-cylinder engine in favour of a new inline four-cylinder engine inclined at 40° with 2 litres displacement, 105 hp, circa 1998 cm3, single overhead camshaft, with two SU-HS6 carburettors, power steering in the form of Alford & Alder (rack and pinion), front disc brakes and rear drums, diaphragm clutch in Borg & Berk … it remains front-engined and rear-wheel drive. The Cabriolet version by Giovanni MICHOLETTI will be produced from 1979 at a run of 29, 000 units.
