Description
Introduced in 2018, the Porsche 991. 2 GT3 RS represents one of the most desirable chapters in the modern GT3 RS lineage. Power comes from Porsche’s 4. 0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, producing 513 bhp and revving to 9, 000 rpm.
The 991. 2 marked a significant technical evolution over the earlier 991. 1 GT3 RS, featuring revised cylinder heads, solid tappets, individual throttle bodies, and reworked engine management, resulting in sharper throttle response and a more urgent top-end character. Further aerodynamic refinement and increased cooling capacity accompanied these mechanical updates.
Visually, the 991. 2 GT3 RS is most easily distinguished from the earlier 991. 1 by the introduction of NACA ducts in the front bonnet, alongside revised front bumper intake detailing to support the updated cooling layout. The wider 991. 2 facelift also brought updated rear lights, giving the later cars a subtly more modern appearance.
Positioned between the earlier 991. 1 and the later 992. 1 generation, the 991. 2 occupies a particularly appealing middle ground. Notably, it is powered by Porsche’s final evolution of the 9R1 engine, whereas the 992 GT3 RS adopted the newer 9A2 Evo unit, developed to comply with increasingly stringent emissions standards and integrated into a larger, more complex platform. As a result, the 991. 2 retains a smaller footprint and a more immediate, mechanical feel, while benefiting from the most developed version of Porsche’s high-revving naturally aspirated engine in the 991 platform.
Delivered new on the 23rd of October 2019, this Porsche 911 GT3 RS was specified in GT Silver Metallic and optioned with the highly desirable Weissach Package, reinforcing its focus on reduced weight through the extensive use of carbon fibre and titanium components.
In addition to the Weissach Package, the car was specified with a number of further factory options. Notable items include Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), front axle lift system, reversing camera, carbon fibre illuminated door sill guards, and a carbon fibre steering wheel with RS 12 o’clock marker.
The car has benefitted from continuous Porsche warranty coverage beyond its original factory term and remains covered by Porsche warranty to this day, reflecting careful ownership and diligent maintenance throughout. After showing just 90 miles on the odometer, it passed to a private couple, who retained the car until May 2025. During this period, it covered 23, 729 miles, all supported by careful documentation. The manner in which the car was enjoyed reflects enthusiastic yet considered use, valued as a highly capable road car rather than a dedicated track vehicle.
Servicing has been carried out exclusively within the Porsche network, resulting in a full Porsche service history, with the most recent service completed in October 2025 at Porsche Centre Swindon at 23, 801 miles, ensuring the car is up to date and ready for its next owner. The previously fitted paint protection has been professionally removed in preparation for sale, revealing paintwork beneath that is in excellent condition, with clean surfaces and strong overall presentation.
Accompanied by two keys, a complete book pack, a comprehensive folio of documentation, and Porsche warranty in place until late October 2026, this exceptional 991. 2 GT3 RS is available for viewing at our showroom just outside London, strictly by appointment.
