Visually, the 1M immediately makes an impression. The redesigned front and rear, and especially the extremely wide wheel arches, give the car a muscular presence.
Under the hood lies the legendary twin-turbocharged N54 engine, delivering an impressive 340 hp and paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The differential features a mechanical limited slip to ensure optimal power distribution. The 1M is known for its raw driving experience and uncompromising dynamics. Thanks to all the M3 chassis modifications, the car is 44 mm wider at the rear and 71 mm wider at the front than the E82 135i on which it is based.
The interior is typically BMW. It seems understated, but truly everything is there. And the controls for all the buttons and switches are exactly as they should be. No searching or navigating through awkward digital screens to finally find something to operate. The way this car was designed, is how it should always be. Much easier to use and therefore safer.
