This UK RHD Mercedes W113 230SL Pagoda with a 4-speed auto, was first registered on 8th April 1964, and as such was one of the first SL’s to be delivered.
It is presented in its original colour of 050G Police White paint with a contrasting Black factory hard-top, Black MB-Tex interior, Black carpets, and a Black soft-top.
Benefitting from an older restoration by Hunts of Oxford, and at great expense, these works included new Sills, replacement of Inner and Outer Wings to both the front and rear, new Floors and much more.
This car presents brilliantly. From the paintwork to the interior with its near perfect seats, dashboard and wood veneers, this is a car that has clearly seen some expense to be the car you see today.
In 1977, it benefitted from the engine being replaced at 42k miles by the Mercedes Main Dealer, Charle Sidney of Bradford. Additionally, the Mercedes supplied Engine ID Plate has been added to the bulkhead as per dealer guidelines at the time.
Latterly, the car has had £9k of works conducted by marque specialist, Hilton and Moss. The result is a car that is truly lovely to drive, delivered by a smooth running engine and gearshifts.
This extremely usable example of Mercedes' 1960's sports tourer, is accompanied by a substantial amount of paperwork, most notably it has the original Handbook, Colour Brochure and Engine Exchange Booklet
