Description
1981 MAZDA B1600 PICKUP The 1981 Mazda B1600 is a classic compact pickup from the second generation of Mazda's B-Series, known for its reliability and "workhorse" reputation. While officially succeeded by the B1800 and B2000 in many markets by the late 70s, the B1600 remained in production or available as a budget-friendly option in various regions, including South Africa and New Zealand. Powered by a 1. 6-litre (1, 600 cc) inline-four naturally aspirated petrol engine, typically producing around 95 horsepower. The transmission was a standard 4-speed or 5-speed manual gearbox. It was available in both short-wheelbase and long-bed configurations, sometimes referred to as the 'Sundowner' in specific markets. This era of the B-Series was also built for Ford and sold as the Ford Courier. This B1600 was imported from South Africa and accordingly is a solid and rust free example. This vehicle has been running & driving in the past 12 months. It will require some minor mechanical recommissioning. (Fresh battery, fresh petrol, possibly new plugs and leads etc)It requires new glass for the drivers door and the linkage for the interior driver's door handle requires some attention. A very good and clean example of an early 1980s Japanese pickup offered at a sensible estimate. This vehicle is located near Lutterworth, Leicestershire LE17 from where it will need to be collected.
