A newly completed example of the Dax Cobra, finished in metallic Ruby Red with painted silver stripes and complemented by a cream interior and stainless-steel side-pipes. Built to a high standard, this car offers a well-balanced combination of classic styling and modern engineering.
IVA issued in February 2026 and awaiting its first registration from the DVLA. A zero-mile new-build on completion and expected to be ready in May after covering some shake-down miles with ourselves.
The car is based on a Dax De Dion chassis with camber compensation, utilising Jaguar XJ40 running gear. It sits on 17-inch Halibrand-style wheels fitted with Continental Contact 5 tyres, giving it a purposeful stance while maintaining good road manners.
Power is provided by a new crate Chevrolet small block 5. 7-litre (350) V8 engine, producing approximately 350hp and built by Roadcraft. This is paired with a new Tremec TKO 500 manual gearbox, offering strong, reliable performance and an engaging driving experience. Also fitted with Electric Power Steering making it even more user friendly.
Inside, the car features a well-finished cream interior with heated leather seats, along with a new black fabric full wet-weather hood and side-screens for added practicality.
The car has been IVA tested and checked over by Cobra specialists JC Autosports Ltd in Darwen, providing additional reassurance as to the quality of the build and its road readiness.
