This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at Kempton Park 2026 on Saturday the 18th of July, Kempton Park Racecourse, TW16 5QE.
During the early 1950s, Vincent were at the top of their game and the Series C Black Shadow represented the pinnacle of British motorcycling
Capable of 120mph, it was easily the fastest vehicle on the roads in post-war Britain
Still an icon today and sought-after by enthusiasts and collectors alike
This example is presented in older restored condition
Original machine was despatched to dealers Alexander in Edinburgh
Subject to an upper frame replacement within the last 20 years, all other numbers are correct
Replacement upper frame was part of a Vincent Comet originally despatched to Kings of Manchester
History file included containing copies of works records, valuation letter from former Vincent Engineering employee E. J. Davis, old MOTs, photos, an old RF60 green log book dated 1975 and some Vincent Owners Club letters
Unused for last few years so will need some recommissioning before use
UK-registered on a current V5C
