Description
Super example finished in its original colour of Cairngorm Brown with full Tan Leather interior. It has been subject to fairly recent improvements such as a full repaint to a good standard in 2018 and an upgrade to Kingsley Cars' Fast Road Suspension set up around the same time. However beyond this, it remains in very original condition both inside and outside. The chassis is in great condition, with evidence of historic waxoyl treatment that has clearly helped to protect it from rust over the years. It is fitted with a matching set of Michelin Latitude Cross tyres in excellent condition.
It has had only limited use over the last 15 years or so, as evidenced by the MOT history showing only small annual mileage, but has obviously been well maintained and kept in good running order throughout.
I have driven the car several hundred miles in the last couple of weeks, including a long motorway journey, and it has been a pleasure to drive. It starts easily, maintains a constant temperature in the middle of the gauge, cruising happily at 70 mph when required, and handling surprisingly well on smaller, twistier roads, no doubt thanks to the upgraded suspension.
It also benefits from the fitment of a discrete LPG system with tanks fitted beneath the car, so no loss of boot space. It is fully functional, having just been checked by an LPG specialist who fitted a new regulator. The system can be activated by a simple switch beside the steering wheel, and can be driven either on petrol or LPG, as preferred. Given the current price of petrol, this could almost make it economical to run!The car comes with a good file of paperwork. There is some earlier history, but the majority is made up of invoices and correspondence from the same chap who owned it from 2018 to 2024. He was responsible for the repaint and suspension upgrade and was clearly at pains to make the car as good as it possibly could be, both cosmetically and mechanically. Evidently he was quite ill during this time and it appears that getting the Range Rover as he wanted it was a welcome and enjoyable project for him, despite not getting to use it much himself.
Most recently, it has just been to Jake Wright Ltd who have been specialising in Land Rovers since 1972, for a checkover and some minor works to ensure it is ready for regular use by its next owner. It was given a clean bill of health both structurally and mechanically and they were complimentary about its condition.
