A genuine and well-preserved Mk2 GTD with a clearly defined and well-known history. Bought new by the previous owner and always maintained, carrying out everything necessary to keep it in good condition. One of the most charismatic sports diesels of the 1980s.
CONDITION AND HISTORY:
One owner from new until recently. Full maintenance history. The legendary 1. 6 TD “JR” starts instantly, pulls strongly and produces no smoke, strange noises, or water or oil leaks. Timing belt replaced 20, 000 km ago. Just serviced, engine mounts replaced.
Smooth-surfaced suspension with no noises or rattles. Good tyres. Mechanically excellent for the mileage.
The car was slightly “tuned” for its era but overall pleasant: aftermarket electric windows, sunroof, and period tuning exhaust fitted. Internally remarkably well-kept with original GTD seats, no tears or sagging.
Bodywork very presentable with only a few minor age- and mileage-related imperfections. No accident damage, rust-free.
MAIN EQUIPMENT:
- Original 1. 6 Turbo Diesel 70hp – 5-speed manual gearbox
- Factory sunroof
- Aftermarket electric windows
- Original GTD interiors
- Registered with ASI with CRS – historical tax/ insurance benefits
- MOT’d (inspected)
NOTES:
This is a high-mileage car that has been cared for. The tuning parts are vintage and easily replaceable. Perfect for a GTD enthusiast who wants a usable, honest example with a known provenance.
