Casa GTO is proud to offer this Porsche 911 TAG Turbo by Lanzante.
A car that, on paper, sounds simple: a 1980s 911 fitted with a period Formula 1 engine. In reality, it is anything but. Beyond the 930 shell and the original 1984 F1 engine block, everything has been re-engineered—bespoke carbon fibre bodywork, upgraded suspension and geometry, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a complete engine redevelopment by Cosworth. Power is set at 510 PS, deliberately detuned from its F1 origins to ensure real-world usability and longevity.
At its heart sits one of the most important engines in Formula 1 history: the 1. 5-litre twin-turbo V6 developed by Hans Mezger, financed by TAG, and responsible for three consecutive World Championships with McLaren between 1984 and 1986.
This very car houses block #022.
A unit raced by Alain Prost and Niki Lauda during the 1984 championship season, and again by Prost in 1985. Among its highlights, a victory at the 1984 San Marino Grand Prix—history that remains physically attached to the car.
True to its origins, the driving experience is raw. No ABS, no traction control, no electronic safety nets. Just mechanical grip, turbocharged violence, and total driver involvement.
Finished in Porsche Black Olive with full PPF protection, the car features a bespoke interior with dark brown leather and houndstooth inserts, alongside details such as the 917-inspired wooden gear knob.
This example has covered just 1, 890 km from new and has recently undergone a full service and performance updates directly with Lanzante. It is offered complete with its original kit, including trickle charger, engine management computer, and car cover.
