Description
The Guzzi GTV 500 motorcycle
Born in 1934, it marks a turning point for the Mandello del Lario company. Indeed, the old opposed-piston single-cylinder is abandoned. This new single-cylinder is characterised by a new configuration: it is fitted with overhead valves with crankshaft-driven timing and pushrods, as well as a new four-speed gearbox (the so-called “V” layout).
Displacement remains 500 cm³, as with the previous models.
The chassis is a double cradle frame.
The engine develops a power of 22 bhp and allows the bike to reach a top speed of around 120 km/ h.
Production of the GTV ended in 1948, later replaced by the Astore, then the Falcone from 1950.
This motorcycle is in perfect condition, having undergone a complete restoration 10 years ago.
Runs impeccably. Fairings 3 years old.
