The French Manufacturer Darracq SA switched to war production in 1914, notably producing cars for the upper echelons of the Allied military. License built Renault and Peugeot aircraft engines were also built by the factory.

This example, a very rare car, was bought by the vendor in 2011, and much campaigned on Veteran Car Club rallies during his stewardship. With its 3L engine and four-speed gearbox affording a generous turn of speed, the car is a reliable and attractive tourer.

This vehicle’s V5c states manufactured 1914 however, VCC dating certificate states 1913.

There are some spare parts to accompany this vehicle including gearbox and sundry engine items.

Click on the video reel symbol to see the engine running.
